UNC 82, Davidson 58
I was traveling on business this week so I missed my first (and hopefully only) Carolina game of the year. Just looking at the box score would lead me to believe it was a very solid game by the Tar Heels, but
Coach Williams wasn't very happy with the performance (but is he ever?). A couple of stats that jump out include Hansbrough scoring a career high 23 points on 7-13 shooting and 10 rebounds and 7 assists by Noel (although he did have 7 turnovers). It looks like Reyshawn Terry played better shooting 5-7 from the floor and scoring 16 points. Quentin Thomas had 6 assists and NO turnovers. He has been playing much better of late.
Coach Williams was disappointed by the mental mistakes. We've done pretty well this year in that area considering how many "youngsters" are on the team. NC State will show just how prepared we are for the long ACC season.
